Arts House West is founded on a shared passion for art, community, and inspiration. It is the vision of Stella Canfield, internationally acclaimed artist, juror, instructor, and brand ambassador for Daniel Smith, one of the world’s most celebrated manufacturers of fine professional paints.
Together with art lovers, curious minds, and lifelong learners, we have united our experience and enthusiasm to create a place where artists can grow, connect, and be inspired. Our mission is to foster genuine cross-cultural exchange and cultivate an environment where beginners and master artists alike feel welcomed, supported, and deeply nourished.
With the stunning beauty of the Sierras, the area’s rich history, and the combined knowledge of our team, we are committed to offering workshops of the highest caliber. Stella, who served for many years on the board of the celebrated Coupeville Arts Center (now Pacific Arts School) and has taught workshops worldwide for nearly three decades, brings invaluable leadership and expertise to our program.
