Through precise technique and a refined sense of color, he creates pieces that feel vivid and lifelike while revealing the remarkable expressive range of watercolor.
This intensive workshop offers a focused introduction to watercolor painting, guiding participants from the initial sketch through the layered process that brings a face to life. Through clear demonstrations and step by step instruction, J. Hunsung shares the techniques that shape his distinctive approach, including the balance of wet on wet washes and controlled dry brush passages. Students will explore a custom color palette developed for a specific reference while learning how to select and build natural tones through careful layering.
